Responsibilities
- Review PRs in their area within a reasonable time, and approve architecture changes that touch it.
- Guard contracts: wire formats, public traits, error codes, and the dependency direction.
- Release: cut versions, publish changelogs and migration notes, and keep
mainreleasable. - Triage issues: label, reproduce, and route them to the right area.
Becoming a maintainer
Sustained, high-quality contributions in an area, plus review participation, lead to nomination by an existing maintainer of that area.
